I do not know if the past two reviews are talking about the same thing I just read, but as an author myself, let me tell you that this lacks writing skills as well as length. Is the author an amateur? I believe so! this type of story it's been done before plenty of times! how about something original. Oh, and the one star I rated its only because I had to rate it.
I just read this short story and I was glued to it the entire time. For someone that will hopefully never experience the emotional roller coaster that war could bring, this story makes you feel like you were right there. I would highly recommend this ebook to anyone that would like a glimpse into what our brave soldiers go through and what unexpected and incredible experiences they face on a day-to-day bases. Very nicely written Jonathan.
Although a short accounting, this real-life story really brought to point the concept of "friendly fire" and the devasting effects it has had on our soldiers. I was riveted by this story, would like to have read many more chapters. This writer, although clearly new at this profession, vividly described the emotions he felt, and as I read his story, I shared his fears while under attack. I cannot imagine the emotional impact this attack would have on the lives of our soldiers, who have my utmost respect and gratitude. This accounting is NOT what you read in the press - this is REAL and this is what Americans need to read to understand the sarifices our military troops are making to preserve our freedom.
This book will capture you from start to finish! The writing style is fantastic and is written like a true Marine! Jon Linhart really captures what happens in all wars and I imagine what goes through the mind of all those on the receiving end of "friendly fire." You wont be disappointed!
Wow! The Marine author articulates his thoughts and feelings very well while describing in detail the ordeal that could have taken his life. It’s no doubt that his faith saved him. It’s a heart pounding riveting story. I would read more of his work.
This was a very moving book for a Marine mom to read. It gave me an insight to what my son may have been going through while serving his country although he was not in the battle of fallujah but did make numerous trips there. Mr. Linhart helped put my mind there and what it meant to those there. Thank you young man for helping another Marine mom understand what her son went through. Very moving...
